The Four P's

The Four P's

The Art of Being Patient, And Never Giving Up

Dreams, goals, and desires… We all have something we want in life; To be successful, to own our own businesses or dream homes, to have the “perfect family”, or to just live. Question is, how do we fulfill the desires of our hearts? I do not have the answer to that, but I do have this to say…

Prayer
You know what you desire to have, talk to God about it (Pray). Tell Him what you really want, and ask for wisdom, knowledge and the necessary resources required to get what you want. Although He may not give you what you want at the very moment that you ask for it, trust that He will give it to you in due time (where there’s a will, there’s a way). Ask somebody you trust for advice, if you do not trust anyone, keep it to yourself, let it be between you and God, and go on with your plan, after all, not everyone wants to see you succeed.

Stay persistent in your plans. You may fail a thousand times, but for every time you fall, pick yourself up, and try going about achieving your goal in a different way, making a special recipe requires one to remove or add an ingredient to get the perfect dish. Try until you succeed. It is not easy getting what you want, but giving up is not an option either. If you get tired, rest, by the time you wake up, you will have recovered the strength to carry on with your task. Focus on one task at a time, trying to tackle two or more tasks at the same time, will only humble you, you will lose track, and pay less attention to your tasks than when you could focus on one task and give it as much attention as you can to get the optimum results.
Persistence

In life, we all go through ups and downs, it is how we respond to our downfalls that determines our capabilities. Imagine all the plans and ideas you have going on in your head to make you prosper one day, what are you doing to turn them into a reality? Are you just talking about them and not acting on them to have them become a reality? Are you brushing your ideas off onto someone else, and complaining that they stole your idea? Are you helping someone achieve their goals and dreams, while you have your own to achieve?

Perseverance
Wake up dear child, stop stopping yourself from becoming the best you that you can be. Get up, and do the things that will make you succeed, stop existing, and start living the life that you desire to have. Stop depending on other people to make things happen for you. Everyone is looking out for themselves, look out for yourself too.

I use four words to answer the question “how do we fulfill the desires of our hearts?” Prayer, Persistence, Perseverance and Prosperity!

Those words have helped me in unleashing my potential, I hope they help you too!

Prosperity

  1. What an interesting share of thoughts and a solution to improve were it was shaky. I mostly keep things to myself due to what transpired in my life before.but however life does not have time to feel sorry for you but it lies within you and your decisions which need to be taken cautiously.

If I may add,it's best to make mistakes then to fake perfection."with mistakes, you can learn and avoid making the same mistake over and over".that is how you grow and develop as an individual.

    1. Thank you for that Njabulo. And indeed, mistakes are a learnning curve, they groom you into a wiser person. But don't keep things to yourself, you can help others by sharing your experiences so they know what steps to take when they go through the same things you've gone through.

  2. Very inspirational I must say. I like how you highlight that failing is not a dead end in life, it's a mere hiccup that slows you down, but then again, life is not a race right?

    1. You've got that right! But life is not a walk in the park either, one must walk at a pace best fit to get them to their destination safely.
