The Essence Of Being Authentic
In order to be known as a realist, you need to be the same person on social media as you are in person.
You need to give out the same information of who you are to one person as you have to another. You cannot be known as "Mary" to one person and be known as "Ruth" to another. When people describe you, they should not have contradictory ideas of who you are. You need to address people on the outside world the same way you address your parents at home, if you are known for standing up for what you believe to be right, do so, even if it means going against what society expects from you, at least you would not have faked anything. Be honest, be known for who you really are, and do not pretend to be what you are not. Be your own person, stop trying to copy what other people do by playing their roles. Who will play your role if you are constantly going out to get someone else's role? Be authentic, if you really want to be known as the real deal.
I truly agree, being authentic and real is hard because of social media pressures. People have been driven to be so insecure about themselves so they create and mimic celebrities. To be accepted and adored.
ReplyDeleteGreat topic dikeledi.
Celebrities are simply acting. They get paid to do that. In real life, they are realists. They know how to disclose themselves.
DeleteThank you for that Cindy
I read something that excited me like this article.. "the game tetris teaches us that when you fit in with others, YOU disappear.."
ReplyDeleteI love your line, who will play your role whilst you playing others'..
Looking forward to more posts Deekay☺
I agree to that. You do disappear when you try to fit in, you lose yourself in the midst of trying to fit it. In most cases, that leads to your downfall.
DeleteThank you for that Tshediso. Stay tuned for more posts from me.
